Will Italian Vogue Ever Get It Right? #FAIL
First came the Black Issue. Now comes the Fat Issue. Err, Plus-Size Issue. Forgive my lack of sensitivity, but clearly mine pales next to Franca Sozzani’s. For the June 2011 issue of Italian Vogue, Steven Meisel captured plus-size models Tara Lynn, Candice Huffine and Robyn Lawley around – wtf? – a table full of food and wine. Nice, Sozzani, way to represent the big girls. Suddenly, I feel qualified to orchestrate a cover shoot for Vogue. I got it: How about you do a Petite Issue in which Kate Moss and Devon Aoki are hanging with midgets?

Andrej Pejic Voted 98th Sexiest Woman By FHM #BRAVISIMOBITCH
Androgynous male model Andrej Pejic has been passing as female as seen in campaigns for Marc Jacobs and shows for Jean Paul Gaultier. And that’s fine because we’re the fashion industry and we get excited over that shit. But when it trickles down to the masses it becomes newsworthy. DailyMail reported that FHM was horrified that its readers voted him onto its Sexiest Women list where he outranks, guess who, Lady Gaga and Izabel Goulart. Actually, is the Lady Gaga thing really a surprise? But the best part of all of this is that for a hot second people were talking about FHM, because, who the hell reads FHM? 

“Are You That Somebody” #OLDSCHOOL
Last weekend I attended a ’70s-themed party in a warehouse where they played the illest remix to “Are You That Somebody” by Aaliyah — how ’70s. After snooping around for it, I discovered that this remix was produced by two Montreal natives who go by ITFW. Listen to the remix here (also link for download).
